1. Agreement and scope
By accessing the SoulSpace website or using SoulSpace software, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the relevant site, preview, or software. “SoulSpace” refers to the SoulSpace project and the people maintaining it.
These terms apply together with our Privacy Policy and, where relevant, our Cookie Policy. Different terms presented by an external service may apply to that service.
2. Product availability
SoulSpace is an evolving project. Features, platform support, documentation, and availability may change. Windows and Linux installers and an installable workspace PWA are not currently published from this website; check the downloads page for current status.
Joining a mailing list or viewing a preview does not guarantee access to a release, a particular feature, or a release date. Do not rely on pre-release software as the only copy of important information.
3. Your content and data
You retain ownership of notes, project material, and other content you create. You are responsible for the content you add and for keeping independent backups of important work. Local data can be lost if you remove an app, clear browser data, or lose access to a device.
You give the project only the limited permission needed to operate a feature you choose to use. For example, information submitted through a waitlist form is processed to manage that request as described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Acceptable use
Use SoulSpace lawfully and in a way that does not disrupt the service or other people. You must not attempt unauthorized access, interfere with site security or operation, distribute malware, misuse another person’s information, or use the project to violate someone’s rights or applicable law.
5. Third-party services
Some features may connect to services operated by others. Those providers may have their own terms and privacy practices. You decide whether to enable or use such features and are responsible for reviewing the provider’s terms before sharing information with it.
The website may link to third-party websites, including code hosting and release pages. The project does not control their content, security, or availability.
6. Intellectual property
The SoulSpace name, logo, website design, and project materials are owned by their respective rights holders. These terms do not transfer ownership to you. Software components may be distributed under separate open-source licenses; those license terms govern where they differ from this section.
7. Changes and availability
The website or software may be updated, suspended, or discontinued, and features may be modified or removed. We may update these terms to reflect changes to SoulSpace or legal requirements. The current version and its effective date will be posted here. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply, to the extent allowed by law.
8. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the website and software are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose. This wording does not remove any warranty or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the extent permitted by law, the project is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the website or software. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud or intentional misconduct where applicable.
9. Applicable law and contact
Applicable law and dispute rules depend on where you live and any mandatory consumer protections that apply. These terms do not limit rights that local law requires us to preserve.
For questions about these terms, contact the maintainer through the SoulSpace project profile. Please do not share private information in a public issue.
These terms describe the current independent project and are not a promise that a particular release, platform, or feature will be available by a specific date.
